1. Be
ready for the ride!
a. Maintain and check your vehicle before riding.
b. Be legal and carry
your paperwork.
c. Carry the club contact
list and emergency numbers during rides.
2. Be
on time for rides and scheduled events.
a. Do not miss the ride briefing.
b. Call if you are going
to be more than 10 minutes late.
3. Before each ride, the Road Captain will
conduct a ride briefing to discuss the following:
a. The route
b. Gas stops if necessary.
4. Plan
fuel only stops according to the rider with the smallest gas tank. When stopping for gas, everyone should top off.
5. Only ride at comfort level of the least
experience rider. If levels vary greatly, split up into groups according to riding
ability.
6. When passing other vehicles, wait for
an opportunity for several bikes to pass and keep up speed so that there is enough room for other group members to fall in
behind you.
7. Do not break off the route or leave the
group without letting someone know.
8. Do not perform stunts in the middle of
the pack.
9. Do not make a turn in the route without
being SURE that the person behind you knows to make the same turn or take
the same exit.
Always ride in a staggered formation in the straights and in
single file in twisties.
a. As the speed increases, increase the space between riders.
b. Make sure you can
see the visor of the rider ahead of you in HIS mirror.
